MICROBLADING AFTERCARE INSTRUCTIONS

The results and longevity of the eyebrow tattoos will depend greatly on how you take care of your brows during the healing process and beyond. Each client’s skin responds differently, both in the length of time it takes to heal, and the number of sessions required to achieve your desired results and color retention. This information acts as a guideline only.

FOLLOW THESE INSTRUCTIONS CAREFULLY AS YOU HEAL

DAY OF PROCEDURE:

One hour after the treatment, use saline wipe to gently cleanse brows.

Repeat again before bed, then apply a thin layer of aftercare gel with cotton swab.

DAYS 2 THROUGH 7:

Morning and night apply a thin layer of aftercare gel with cotton swab. If brows feel itchy or tight throughout the day, reapply. * Once the scabs have completely fallen off, keep the area moisturized for better healing.

◇◆ IMPORTANT: Color may appear more warm and takes up to four weeks to neutralize after the pigment is  healed in the upper dermis of the skin. Once the flakes have fallen off, a shiny layer of healing skin will completely cover the hair strokes. It may appear as though the tattooed area has completely disappeared. This is just new skin forming. Within 1-4 weeks, the hair strokes will slowly reappear at a lighter shade as your skin regenerates.

WHAT IS TO BE AVOIDED:

○ Do not get your brows wet for the first seven days; that includes steam, sweat, and products (Quick showers so there is no steam on the mirror and avoid working out)

○ Avoid direct sunlight and tanning beds for 2 weeks

○ Do not apply makeup on brows until all scabs have fallen off

○ Do not use any hydroxy acids or retin-A around the brow area

○ Do not apply any anti-acne products (e.g. Benzoyl Peroxide, Salicylic Acid, Proactiv, etc.) or lightening creams such as hydroquinone to the treated area while healing

○ Do not use Neosporin, Vaseline (or any other petroleum based products), vitamin e, coconut oil, aloe vera or anything that has antibacterial properties

○ Do not bleach, tint or dye the tattooed area for one month following the procedure

○ Do not thread, wax, or use hair removal products on the treated area while healing

○ No facials, Botox, chemical peels or laser treatments for 4 weeks

○ Do not pick, scratch, itch or pull any of the scabs or peeling

◇◆ Keep the brows moisturized for better pigment retention. Please know that even once your microblading is fully healed it is important to protect it from the sun and any exfoliating treatments, as this will fade the pigment.
