  • LIP BLUSH is a natural, sheer, soft lip stain effect - no harsh outlines, just a subtle blush of color to define, shape, and make lips look naturally plump & flushed. Lips are a sensual feature and are a crucial part of looking youthful. As we age we lose volume, color and definition. A custom color is mixed for each and every client based on their skin color, undertones, and existing lip shade. Lip blush can last 1.5-4 years depending on what color is chosen and how saturated you would like the color.

Lip Blush subtle tinting works best on pale to medium toned lips. Your naturally occurring lip pigmentation determines what effect will work on your skin.

Dark Lip Neutralization : Melanin rich or darker lips will require a technique called Dark Lip Neutralization for best results.

Neutralization is used to lighten and even out the tone of lips in the first session. Lightening the darkness and balancing out your lip tone to create an even base to later deposit color on. Neutralization begins with 2 sessions, but could take up to 3 or 4 to achieve desired results. Everyone is unique and patience is key!

    • Pain is minimal - 2 anesthetics are used to keep you comfortable!

    • Healing time is very quick and very easy, just a few days of applying Aquaphor/ointment provided & avoiding spicy foods/swimming/sauna.

    • The area will be slightly swollen for a day or two (but nothing you have to hide away from, they’ll just be plump).

    • Color is very vibrant and looks like lipstick the first 2 days, then begins settling in, softening and turning very natural.

    • Color will soften 40-60% once healed.

    • Cooler/ darker lips might require extra sessions to achieve desired results.

    • Lip fillers: you MUST wait at least 1 month before/ after getting your lips tattooed

    • Cold sores: if you’ve EVER had even 1 cold sore on the outside area of your mouth or on your lips you MUST take doctor prescribed Valtrex or a similar antiviral at least 3 days prior and 3 days after getting your lips tattooed. If you don’t- this procedure will trigger an outbreak that will affect healing- so this is very important & very easy to avoid!

    • Moisturize: make sure your lips are well moisturized in the days leading to the appt. Dry, cracked lips won’t heal nicely!

  • Keep lips MOISTURIZED with ointment at all times.

DAY OF PROCEDURE : One hour after appointment, blot & use saline wipe to gently cleanse your lips, remove excess lymph fluid, pigment, &/or blood. Pat dry, then apply ointment with a Qtip. Repeat again before bed. Ice pack may be applied for up to 10 minutes to ease swelling & discomfort.

DAYS 2 THROUGH 14 : Apply ointment every 30 minutes, or as needed to keep lips moisturized. Lips should not form scabs or become chapped if they stay moisturized.

+WHAT IS TO BE AVOIDED :

    ○ Days 1-3 : No tooth whitening products, alcohol, hot or dark colored liquids, spicy/acidic foods, other lip makeup products such as lipstick and kissing.

    ○ During the first 4 weeks post procedure refrain from using exfoliants, acids and anti aging serums on the area around the lips.

+WHAT IS TO BE EXPECTED :

    ○ Swelling & redness can be present 1-3 days after

    ○ Pigment color is very vibrant and looks like lipstick the first 2 days, then begins settling in, softening and turning very natural.

    ○ Lips will exfoliate on their own, usually after 3-4 days. Keeping them moisturized with provided ointment will help with the dry skin.

    ○ Flaking & peeling will occur as tattoo heals. Heavy scabbing should not occur with proper aftercare.

    ○ After peeling pigment color may appear lighter than expected. Pigment color will come back in strength as skin continues to heal. Be patient & trust the process!

    ○ Please do not be worried if you lose color because you can lose 50-80% the first time.

    ○ After one week post procedure, and moving forward, use lip balm with SPF to keep your color fresh and protected from sun damage.

*If you have ever had a cold sore, you will more than likely break out. This is caused by stress on the lips. Please make sure to take Valtrex starting 3 days prior & 3 days after your appointment.
