  • MICROBLADING : Is a form of tattooing by hand that etches tiny hair strokes into the skin.

    +BEST FOR :

    • Clients with drier skin and smaller pores

    • Clients with wispy, fine natural brow hair

    • Clients with a lot of natural brow density that just need a minor enhancement

*Microblading is NOT suitable for clients with larger pores, oily skin, very thin, mature skin, previously tattooed, scarred skin, sun damage or coarse brow hair.

    SHADING OR POWDER :

Shading or powder is an advanced machine technique that is done with a very small needle that deposits soft, sheer layers of tiny pixels into the skin.

It can be done very soft giving you a natural, powder look, or it can be done more saturated giving you that perfect makeup look!

    +BEST FOR :

    • All skin types

    • Clients with very little brow hair

    • Clients that need color corrections

    • Clients with layers of old microblading, scar tissue or skin that is textured or resistant to microblading

*Shading is more gentle on the skin and generally lasts longer.

NANO, MACHINE HAIRSTROKES, OR HYPERREALISM TECHNIQUE :

Nano/Machine hair strokes are created with a tattoo machine and a super fine needle. Nano/Machine strokes can work in some cases where microblading cannot- such as textured or oily skin.

*COMBINING TECHNIQUES CAN CREATE BEAUTIFUL RESULTS.

+WHAT TO EXPECT AT YOUR EYEBROW APPOINTMENT :

TIME : Treatments are 2 appointments, which are 6-10 weeks apart to allow for the healing process to complete. Initial appointment takes approximately 2.5 - 3 hours. This includes the designing process, numbing the area, and tattooing. Follow-up appointments take approximately 2 hours.

PROCESS : Every Brow Service starts with a consultation. I asses your skin type and eyebrow hair. We then discuss why you want this service done and what your end goals are. This is a great time to show me any references that you are particularly drawn to. If you fill in your brows every day with makeup, please come to your service with them filled in. This way I can see what you are used to. After we decide which service is best, I will map/shape your brows and draw the design on with a pencil. We will make any tweaks and adjustments together to make sure they are perfect. Then get started on making your new brows permanent!

NUMBING : A combination of very effective topical anesthetics that are selected based on your specific procedure. Every effort is made to ensure you remain comfortable for the entirety of the procedure. Even with that in mind, each person has a different level of pain tolerance. While there may still be a level of discomfort, it is typically minimal. Receiving the procedure during your menstrual cycle may increase your sensitivity. Most describe it as a scratching sensation with mild discomfort.

HEALING : The skin will fully heal by 7-14 days. However, you won’t see the exact colour and shape of the strokes until around 4-6 weeks, which is why the top-up is after this point.

For the first couple of days, your brows may seem very dark as they start to scab over. By week two, the scabs will start to fall away, revealing light pigment underneath. Don’t panic. This is all part of the healing process. Your skin would have healed over the pigment giving it a milky look. Over the coming weeks, the skin will regenerate, and the pigment will start to show through in-time for your touch up.

  • *Epilepsy *Diabetic *Undergoing Chemotherapy *Drug or Dietary Supplement that may induce bleeding or reduce clotting *Sick: (cold, flu, etc) *Pregnant or Nursing *Major Heart Problems *Psoriasis, Eczema, Rash, Dermatitis, Lesions, Sores, Open Wound, Swelling, or Sunburn on or Around Treated area *Recent Surgery on Face *Pink Eye *Contagious skin diseases (such as Herpes Simplex, Chicken Pox, or Shingles) *Healing Scar Tissue in the treatment area *An Allergy to Lidocaine, Tetracaine or Epinephrine *Botox in the Past Month *Accutane in the past year *Previous Permanent Makeup *Viral Infections/ Disease *Lash/Brow Growth Serums *Antibiotics in the past 2 months *Retinol or Vitamin A in the past month *Microneedling, Medical Grade Chemical Peels & Facial Laser Treatments in the past 3 months

    • PREGNANT OR NURSING If you are currently pregnant or breastfeeding you cannot get the procedure done. As a precaution to avoid any complications, in case of an infection and sensitivity due to change in hormones it is better to wait until you finish your pregnancy or breastfeeding.

    • IRREGULAR BUMPS If you have any irregular bumps on or around eyebrow area for example, ingrown hairs and open bumps, Rash, Sunburn, Eczema, Psoriasis, Dermatitis, Rosacea, skin bleeds easy and will not retain color well, have moles/raised areas/piercings in or around the brow/eye area- anything raised or indented will not retain color, Hair transplant for your eyebrows (color will not take in the scar tissue where the plugs were placed), or Shingles-permanent makeup will not be performed as the procedure could cause a flare-up.

    • KELOID OR HYPERTROPHIC SCARRING If a person with tendencies for this type of scarring have the same risk with tattoo also. The risk is mainly in the torso area, however, we may decide to do a patch test to insure that you do not scar in this manor.

    • OVERLY SENSITIVE If you have very sensitive skin, are easily allergic to products or have acne prone skin. I suggest to schedule a consultation to discuss your concerns prior to procedure.

    • ALLERGIC If you have an allergy to Lidocaine, Tetracaine or Epinephrine.

    • ANEMIA If you suffer from Anemia or have a low iron level in general this procedure might not be the best for you. Some of the pigments are iron based therefore your skin might absorb the pigment faster which will lead in healing too ashy/cool and fading faster than usual.

    • OVERLY OILY If you have very oily skin you might not get a perfect result after the first touchup, you may need two. Oily skin tends to heal less precise, the lines usually tend to blur out more or not retain at all. This is obviously not always the case but it can happen. Large pores on your forehead & in the eyebrow area may also result color to blur/blend in large pores resulting in a powdered look.

    • FREQUENT SMOKER If you are a frequent smoker your pigment may fade sooner than normal.

    • SUNNY LIFESTYLE If you are over tanned/sunburnt, tan a lot, are in the sun a lot due to lifestyle, the sun will affect the pigments and the eyebrows fade faster.

    • COVER UP If you have previously tattooed eyebrows it depends on the color and intensity of the healed pigment if cover up is possible. Even if you did your eyebrows with someone else and you only want to do the touchup with me I need to see them before booking. In that case please send me a very clear picture of your eyebrows or make an appointment for a consultation and I will have a look.

    • AGE If you are under 18 you can't get them done, you have to wait till you are 18 or you get your parents to sign an consent form.

    • MATURE SKIN 55+ Skin that is aged can be on the thinner side and more delicate which may increase the risk of pigment migrating underneath the skin.

    • ALOPECIA If you suffer from hair loss (alopecia) or your hair is not growing anymore after the years and you lost your natural brows eyebrow tattooing can be a life saver for you. It is very important to know that if I have to build up an entire set of eyebrows that it might take more sessions than usually. Normally after two touch ups (three sessions in total) the desired result can be achieved.

    • ACCUTANE or Retin-A (acne medication) within the last year- skin composition is altered and places you at risk for hypersensitivity, scarring, hyperpigmentation, loss of pigment and will not heal well. Your skin needs 12 months to normalize prior to eyebrow tattooing. Must wait 1 year before treatment.

    • RETINOL or Vitamin A user skin composition is altered and may not heal well. Discontinue use 1 month prior to treatment.

    • BOTOX If you have had Botox in the past month it may cause your brows to be uneven once the Botox finally settles.

    • BROW GROWTH SERUMS Use of Latisse or any eyelash/eyebrow growth conditioner the skin will be hypersensitive and bleed easily. Discontinue use for 2 months prior to procedure.

    • DIABETIC Healing could be compromised and take longer than average. If your doctor feels your condition is under control you are able to undergo cosmetic tattooing. Diabetes is where there is excessive sugar in the blood system, as leads to poor healing and increased risk for infection.

    • CHEMOTHERAPY If you have finished cancer treatments please talk to your doctor first to know when it is possible to do eyebrow tattooing. As soon as you get the ok from your doctor I'd love to give you your eyebrows back.

    • MEDICAL CONDITIONS If you have a viral infection, disease, or other medical condition such as Hemophilia (high risk- cannot stop bleeding), Heart Conditions/ Pacemaker/Defibrillator (No exceptions, high risk), Body runs hot (increased bleeding which prevents color deposit), Bleeding disorders (increased bleeding which prevents color deposit), Thyroid condition and taking medication for this condition (Hypo, Hyperthyroidism, Graves Disease, Hashimoto’s- results in thicker skin), Autoimmune Disorder such as LUPUS or Frontal Fibrosing Alopecia (MS, RA, Lupus or the like), Due to the medicines to treat these diseases, color may not retain. Also the facial skin is not healthy and is/or bumpy, and the color will not heal evenly), Trichotillomania(Compulsive pulling of body hair) Due to constant pulling, scar tissue is prominent and color will not heal evenly/properly.

    • EVENTS If you have a major event I strongly advise clients to book their appointment at least 3-4 months in advance of Vacations, Weddings, and special occasions. This allows adequate time for healing of both your Initial Tattooing Appointment as well as a Touch-Up Appointment 6-8 Weeks after.

    • Refrain from drinking alcohol or taking blood thinning medications 24 hours prior to your appt.
