+ Liquid tattoo removal is an effective method for removing old, unwanted or over saturated permanent makeup. The procedure is performed with a specially designed removal solution based on salt and a machine, similar to what was used for initial pigment implementation. Due to osmosis the pigment is drawn to the skin’s surface. As the skin heals a scab is formed and once the scab naturally falls off, the lifted pigment will go with it.
Unlike laser which isn’t suitable for removing white, reddish, and yellow pigments, liquid removal is not color or skin tone restricted. Laser can remove brow hair, may turn titanium (white/flesh tone) grey or black, and not as common to find technicians that work on lips or eyeliner. Liquid removal is safe for eyeliner and lip liner.
EMERGENCY REMOVAL :
Emergency removal is a procedure to lift, lighten and potentially remove an unwanted cosmetic or small tattoo right after it was done and up to 48 hrs. Emergency removal can help prevent pigment/ink from healing in the skin or at least keep a percentage of the color healing in. It is done by applying the solution directly to the treated area. No need to open up the skin, since it still hasn’t started closing up from the procedure.
If you wait longer than 48 hrs, you will need to be completely healed 6-8 weeks before reentering the skin.
HOW MANY SESSIONS ?
For lightening satisfaction 3 to 7 sessions.
How many sessions will depend on many different variables:
How many layers/times been tattooed
Is there titanium present
How deep it was implanted
How saturated the pigment is
Where on the body
And how your skin reacts to the treatment (condition of skin and following aftercare)
Under no circumstance is a lightening procedure to be performed under 8 weeks. The skin needs adequate time to heal to prevent damaging the skin that can result in scarring. Results are better with longer healing time.
PATCH TEST :
A patch test is not often required for removal. The only exception to this is if you have allergies or a darker skin tone (Fitz 4-6). Darker skin tones are more prone to hyper or hypo pigmentation. Which means when the skin is broken it could become substantially darker or lighter than normal.
PAIN : A numbing cream is applied to area before procedure and a secondary numbing used throughout process, although there might be some discomfort, stinging or burning sensation.

+WHAT TO EXPECT
Day of procedure : The treated area may be tender, appear bloody, red, or swollen.
First few days : The area will scab over during the first few days.
One week : The wound may still be scabbed over.
Two weeks : The scab will naturally fall off. As it heals, the skin remains pink or discolored and appears fragile.
One month (4 weeks) : The skin returns to normal.
Two months (8 weeks) : The region has ideally entirely healed and is ready for next session.
+AFTERCARE
1. KEEP AREA CLEAN and open to the air. Do not cover with a Band-Aid or anything else, leave open to air. Air/oxygen provides good and faster healing. CLEANSE THE AREA with an unscented gentle cleanser and lukewarm water. Blot the area 3-4 x daily until all scabs fall off w/ saline and clean lint free tissue or pad.
2. DO NOT SOAK the treated area in water. You can shower as normal but keep the area out of the shower spray the best you can and do not let the area stay wet for more than a few minutes. It is best to keep it dry but if you do get it wet gently pat dry.
3. NO BATHING, SWIMMING, SAUNAS, HOT TOBS, TANNING, OR EXERCISE. NO EXCEPTIONS.
4. DO NOT disrupt the scabbing process (i.e., no picking, scratching, etc.) All scabbing needs to fall off naturally. If you force or pick a scab off you will disrupt the process and possibly cause scarring. It is critical to keep the scabs on as long as possible to achieve optimum results.
5. TREAT AREA WITH TLC. DO NOT DO ANYTHING AT ALL THAT COULD CAUSE ISSUES OR PROBLEMS TO THE TREATED AREA.
6. ONCE ALL SCABBING HAS NATURALLY FALLEN OFF, apply provided aftercare 3 to 4 times throughout the day for a minimum of 4 weeks, or until next lightening session. DO NOT start applying the provided aftercare UNTIL all scabbing has naturally and completely fallen off. It is our goal to keep the area as dry as possible until all scabs have naturally fallen off. If you do not have provided aftercare or run out you can substitute with Vitamin E Oil.
7. LIPS please drink all liquids with a straw until all scabbing has naturally fallen off. No whitening, no peroxide toothpastes. Cut food into small bites....no biting into a sandwich. Try to keep mouth expressions to a minimum.
❖ It is important to the process and integrity of the skin that 8 full weeks of healing take place before another lightening session can be done. No exceptions
❖ Lightening unwanted pigment can be a long process and patience is required. This is true whether you are choosing a saline lightening product or laser. Please be patient and give the process a fair chance to work. Expect visible and wanted results in 2 to 5 sessions. How many sessions needed will depend on how saturated the pigment is, how deep it was implanted, the location, the skin type and how much needs to be lightened for the desired result. In many cases only a percentage of the pigment needs to be lightened and then we can continue the correction process by color correcting or color shifting. In those cases where we have pigment misplaced or in an unwanted area, color correcting will not be an option and lightening as much of the pigment as possible will be our ultimate goal.
❖ Results cannot be foreseen, predicted or guaranteed.
❖ If you have any questions or concerns please reach out. If at any time you have any green or yellow pus in the area of the lightening procedure, or any concerns at all during the healing process please contact immediately.
